How AGI Can Solve Service Explosion in the Internet of Everything

What is it about?

This paper explores the challenge of “service explosion” in the Internet of Things (IoT), Internet of People (IoP), and Internet of Thinking (IoTk)—where rapid growth in devices, data, and interactions causes delays, resource bottlenecks, and security risks. We propose a new Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)-based approach to improve system interoperability, data management, personalization, and security. Using smart homes as a case study, we show how AGI can dynamically coordinate services across different layers (physical, social, cognitive), making systems more efficient and adaptable. The paper also looks ahead to Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) and outlines future research directions.

Why is it important?

As the Internet of Everything (IoX) expands, service explosion is becoming a critical barrier to scalability, efficiency, and security. This paper introduces a novel AGI-driven framework that enables cross-domain learning, real-time adaptation, and proactive service orchestration—going beyond traditional task-specific AI. Our work is timely because it addresses the growing complexity of interconnected cyber-physical-social-thinking systems.
