What is it about?
The early detection of viruses that travel via air is crucial for the prevention of outbreaks or pandemics. iMask is a proposed technology to help speed up this process through the use of artificial intelligence and biotechnology. By connecting to the internet, results can be shared with the public.

Why is it important?
Current viral detection methods are not speedy or accurate. With iMasks, viral detection can happen easily and constantly; detection happens while users are wearing the mask and works in tandem with the user's breath. In this way, the adoption of iMasks could greatly help pandemic prevention efforts.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a wonderufl experience; I worked with co-authors who specialize in areas I'm not very familiar with, and so I was able to learn more about these fields.
