Simulating Quantum Circuits using relational databases

What is it about?

Qymera aims to provide a tool to not only simulate quantum circuits with a novel approach leveraging relational databases, but also provide simple comparison of different simulation methods for simulating quantum circuits. Within one tool, the user is able to create, simulate and analyse quantum circuits.

Why is it important?

First and foremost we provide a novel approach to simulate quantum circuits by translating them into SQL queries to be executed on RDBMS. This method, while generally applicable is not suitable for all kinds of quantum circuits, so we also offer a way to easily compare it to other state-of-the-art simulation methods, to let the user decide which to pick for their specific needs.
