What is it about?
Firefly can achieve single-digit nanosecond accuracy, at datacenter scale. Moreover, this is very easy to implement and deploy, and does not required any specialized hardware capabilities.

Why is it important?
It will change the way people think of a datacenter -- from a collection of machines, to a tightly integrated computing entity, where everything can be precisely scheduled and coordinated. For the first time, the clock will become the new metronome for all computers.
Perspectives
I love this work. It was so much fun to build a system that solves a long-standing challenge with a super elegant approach. Glory to God, for all the inspirations and resources coming in various unexpected ways.
