What is it about?
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a short-range wireless communication technology. It is widely used in Internet of Things, including smart homes, smart cities, industrial factories, and medical equipments. However, BLE devices are vulnerable to session-based attacks, which exploit BLE connections with multiple malicious packets.

Why is it important?
We develop BlueSWAT, the first state-aware BLE security framework for embedded devices. It protects smart phones and medical devices using BLE from being attacked by sophisticated attacks, which can cause sensitive data leakage and denial of service.
Perspectives
I hope this paper can contribute to the Bluetooth community and draw more attention to the area of wireless security.
