What is it about?
Given the rising carbon footprints of software development, building energy-efficient software is essential. Energy-specific design patterns are the recurrent practices developers use to make their source code energy-efficient. As the energy consumption of Web is only growing, we provide a catalog of energy patterns for Web applications and measure the impact of some patterns.

Why is it important?
It is important to understand the energy-related development practices and their impact on web applications so that in future developers can make an informed choice for their source code.
Perspectives
It provide an evidence on some energy related practices whether they indeed make any difference or not.
