What is it about?

This article is a study on using an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm for UAV path planning between the starting and ending points. We conducted UAV path planning in both complex and simple mountainous environments and identified smooth and relatively short paths. In order to obtain a stable path without significant undulations or turns, we considered the path from two aspects: stability and path length. Stability is further divided into vertical stability and horizontal stability.

Why is it important?

1.We approached from the perspective of stability, using horizontal stability and vertical stability to measure the smoothness of a trajectory, as smoother trajectories lead to better stability during actual UV flights. 2.We compared an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm (DMSQPSO) with several other algorithms, including ABC, PSO, QPSO, and DMSPSO, and found that it performed slightly better in the drone trajectory planning problem addressed in this article.

Perspectives

I am very happy to write this article because starting from basic problems, it can lead to more complex issues in the future. Moreover, in the process of writing this article, I learned a lot from my teachers and classmates.
