What is it about?
This presents a brief introduction to aspects of philosophy, and how they differently apply to a complex domain like computing. The paper connects these relationships to computing education, and makes the case for different areas in which computing educators should better understand and apply philosophy.

Why is it important?
This is important because many works on Computing + Philosophy assume a strong background in philosophy which is uncommon among computing professionals. Similarly many approaches to connecting philosophy and computing ignore Axiology an area that is immensely relevant to computing education.
Perspectives
This article was primarily written by the lead author (Roger), with a goal of stimulating conversation among computing educators. It represents a common discussion among the authors, and I hope interests the readers to spend more time investigating and better understanding how and why philosophy and philosophical approaches are uniquely helpful in framing better computing education.
