What is it about?
Ever wondered how you can control your privacy when using voice assistants and chatbots? This article investigates three privacy control strategies for Conversational AI systems designed to empower users and support their decision-making regarding data deletion. Through an experimental user study, the article uncovers the impact of these strategies on user behaviour and perceptions. While the findings show that the designed strategies can alter user behaviour, they don't significantly affect user perceptions of privacy. The authors conclude by suggesting future research directions to create effective privacy controls for CAI systems.
