What is it about?
We propose a framework for using Answer Set Programming and the Clingo language in particular to implement game mechanics or game content generators. We conduct a practical study where this methodology is used by beginner game developers and discuss the results.

Why is it important?
Game development, even with the abundance of high level development environments is still a complicated task. There is still a big necessity for more expressive programming environments. The usage of Answer Set Programming is a step in that direction, with our work providing concrete heuristics and examples to show how it can be applied effectively to game development.
