What is it about?

This paper explores the use of ChatGPT, a large language model, to automatically generate math questions for students from elementary school to college. We tested ChatGPT's ability to create questions in two ways: 1) by giving it existing math problems and asking it to create similar ones, and 2) by asking it to generate questions based on specific math topics and difficulty levels. We also created a new collection of math topics and lessons called TopicMath to help with this evaluation.
