Land administration: merging blochchain with ISO standard

What is it about?

Blockchain has been a growing interest in the land administration. It may help reducing corruption in one of the most plagued sectors. Land administration is an old subject and it has seen the development of a standard framework upon which land offices base their system. This ISO standard is named Land Administration Domain Model(LADM). As the interest grows and more and more communities are studying the eventuality of adopting it, it is necessary to ask: how will blockchain technology integrate with the existing land administration system? This is the central question that we try to answer in this article. Taking the assumption that if we can propose a way to integrate to the standard we will promote a safer way to adopt blockchain.

Why is it important?

We propose a model that allows the integration of blockchain technology to a land administration system that is build around the ISO 19152:2012(Land Administration Domain Model).
