What is it about?
When people work with AI systems as teammates, how decisions get made really matters. This study explores how different leadership styles, like being collaborative versus taking full control affect how people feel about the team and how well it performs. We also studied whether telling people that their teammate was an AI changed their behavior. Our results suggest that both leadership style and AI transparency shape human-AI teamwork.

Why is it important?
Our research addresses a timely question: what makes human-AI teams succeed or fail? We highlight both social and psychological factors, like who makes decisions and whether people know they’re working with AI, that shape team success. This adds a new layer to conversations about responsible and effective AI integration.
