Visual, low-code, function and workflow design environment for function as a service

What is it about?

This publication describes the use of a visual environment, Node-RED, for creating functions and workflows that are later on packaged and deployed automatically on Function as a Service clusters. The environment comes with ready-made logic blocks that can be dragged and dropped to help developers speed up their function creation.

Why is it important?

The framework automates the function creation process, thus limiting the learning curve for migrating logic into the Function as a Service model.
