What is it about?

Most voting protocols involve the use of a centralized party who is trusted to count the votes of each voter, and publish the result. This type of voting is massively vulnerable to corruption attacks. This paper proposes a novel protocol for for anonymous digital voting, without the need for a trusted central party.

Why is it important?

With the legitimacy of recent elections being brought into question, we should strive to create new voting standards which leave no room for objection.

Perspectives

This paper is about trust in our voting systems. Trusting in a central counting party to ensure the integrity of a voting system is no longer sufficient, and we should strive to create voting systems where all parties involved can be 100% confident that the concluded result is that which was chosen by the voting parties.
