Perspectives
This material is based upon work supported by the National Science Foundation’s Grant No. 2131193. Researchers and students from diverse disciplines (sociology, computer science, cyber security, & information science) work collaboratively for developing this tool, collect commuters’ feedback, and deploy data to improve the quality and inclusivity of transit service. The development efforts demonstrate that SmartSAT is a customizable tool with not only provides transportation information to the riders but also collects their commute behaviors and experience feedback toward improving the public transportation system in San Antonio, TX.
