What is it about?
"Pelican Stairs" is an art project: an AI-assisted pandemic memoir featuring images manipulated by a Generative Adversarial Network (StyleGAN2) paired with selected extracts from a personal diary between March and September 2020, the most intense period for Covid-19 related restricitons in the UK. This article describes the artwork's exhibition in the Creativity and Cognition 2022 art exhibition, including the process for creating the images and the technical information about how it was displayed in the exhibition.
