What is it about?
The microservice architecture promises a significant performance increase for a software system. Here, an application is divided into small applications, called microservices, which have their own database. The partitioning of data leads to a need for communication between microservices. Without control over communication, unfortunate interleavings of data exchange can lead to catastrophic data integrity problems. This paper suggests a vision of a novel approach to ensure data integrity without losing sight of the benefits of the microservice architecture.
