A new way to exploit emerging memory technologies and their analog characteristics to improve the bottlenecks of an important computational tool in bioinformatics or metagenomics specifically.

Why is it important?
Metagenomics advances are already bottlenecked by their computational tools. Therefore we believe our solution is quite timely. Moreover, since our approach can work without intrusive hardware modifications to upcoming memory technologies, we think the memory manufacturers can quickly adopt it.
