What is it about?
Pandemic brought us to a sudden change specifically in the education field. The face-to-face interaction that had become one of the essential aspects in the learning process has to be altered into the virtual one. This has affected the lack of students’ interaction in the learning process. Hence, this paper provides the case study on the effectiveness of employing Zoom and Microsoft Teams in improving students’ interaction in the online learning.

Why is it important?
The result of this study without any doubt can provide a useful solution for education practitioners to increase students’ interactions in the online learning. The triangulation method employed in this study provides more fruitful result, consisting of data obtained from e-questionnaire, observation, and the T-test result of the comparison between pre-test and post-test scores. In addition, the research subject was classified into two groups namely the control and experiment group, facilitating the education practitioners to compare between both groups. The data analysis shows that the application of Zoom and Microsoft Teams could improve students’ interaction, impacting on the better result obtained by the students in the experiment group.
Perspectives
It is hoped that this article can provide a solution to conduct a meaningful learning process in the pandemic era. The degradation of chance to obtain the suitable interactions in the online class appeared to be the obstacles for many instructors. This article is expected to be useful to introduce more about the use of technology to cope with those problems.
