What is it about?
This late-breaking work paper identifies the main challenges and benefits lactation consultants in Brazil face in remote consultations. Several challenges and how the tech community can help improve those challenges are presented. Suggestions of few opportunities in specific areas are also shown in the paper.

Why is it important?
Improving the work experience for lactation consultants in remote settings is important for broader reach of mothers who seek help in breastfeeding. There are several reasons for not continuing breastfeeding around 3-6 months and lactation consultants are an important point of support in keeping these rates high.
Perspectives
This is the first work of a series around technologies for breastfeeding support and encouragement from my group. There are many areas and people who will benefit from this work and we would like to help communities in need.
