What is it about?
Increasing the data rate is a main challenge in molecular communications (MC). Therefore, an efficient usage of all available resources is needed. We investigate space as resource in a 3-D MC scenario with a large numbers of transmission links and answer how dense the transmission links can be deployed to maximize the overall information transmission rate. To achieve this, we introduce a new performance metric for multi-link MC systems called area rate efficiency (ARE).
