What is it about?

This paper is about the research of pneumatic soft actuator. We designed a special soft actuator structure. The actuator can realize large-angle twisting in clockwise and counterclockwise directions, and it also has functions such as swing and elongation.

Why is it important?

This model studies the possibility that the same actuator can produce different kinds of deformation, which can reduce the volume of the multi-functional soft robot to be applied in a relatively narrow and dangerous working environment, and provides a new idea for the design of flexible actuator.

Perspectives

Writing this paper is a very interesting thing. This article made me more involved in the research of soft robots, and made soft robots closer to our real life. We can use small objects in life to make a simple soft robot to intuitively feel its movement and deformation.
