What is it about?
Current food consumption patterns are viewed as challenging for the sustainability of our planet. We have investigated which food data that are meaningful for individuals and how to better the current state of food data in relation to sustainable consumption.

Why is it important?
We have investigated the emergent area of research that is sustainable food consumption. Our findings show that practicing sustainable food consumption is influenced by data availability, data cultures, and mismatches between expectations and the reality of sustainable food related data.
Perspectives
Gaining insight into the area of sustainable food consumption practices through studying individuals who have made major changes in their lives in order to live in accordance with the environment has been very interesting. My preconception about this area was that sustainable food consumption was rather straight forward to practice. However, during the study multiple doors opened for me about the different complexities that these people experience and vast sacrifices that these people make. Fascinating research area.
