Why is it important?
Non-contact vital signs monitoring is promising for in-home healthcare, however, is susceptible to the signal distortion. It necessitates a reliable signal quality detection approach to detect and exclude the distorted signal and enable robust monitoring. Two important findings are that: 1) the heart rate and respiratory rate are not always available concurrently in the wireless signal and should be decoupled. 2) we identify the respective feature subsets to achieve the optimal detection performance for heart rate and respiratory rate measurement.
