Why is it important?

Modern vehicles are more and more opened to their environment to provide advanced services to the drivers. This development constantly increases the attack surface of the vehicles and make them a worthwhile target for cyber criminals. This has led to several serious attacks in recent years, even threatening life and limb of road users. Thus, there is a strong requirement to secure the advanced services to avoid the introduction of new attack vectors.
