What is it about?

Logistics and visiting hours to correctional facilities in Namibia is no exception. Namibia’s correctional facilities are located in remote areas, hence, visitation to these facilities tends to be cumbersome, time-consuming, costly and at times disappointing due to lack of accurate information. In response to this challenge, an innovative android-based application has been developed to ease the situation and help the confined populations’ family and friends in locating their relatives in Namibian rehabilitation centers as a consequence of imprisonment.

Why is it important?

A global outbreak of Coronavirus affected countries’ economy, people’s lives and businesses around the globe due to lock down restrictions imposed on everyday activities. this project is important for allowing the families to visit their family members on schedule timetable ,which will reduce overcrowded and reduce transmission of coronavirus among the community.
