What is it about?

Cultural Heritage institutions use social media to communicate with citizens and tourists. However, providing actual effective communication is not an easy task, as every day millions of messages are posted through social media. How to get a good visibility? We present the architecture of a dashboard, accessible by mobile devices, to support museum social media managers in composing effective tweets: it provides suggestions to improve message drafts by exploiting machine learning techniques over past messages submitted by the museum itself and its "competitors".

Why is it important?

The proposal is quite unique in its aim to support effective communication and marketing campaigns in the cultural heritage / mueseum domain. Intelligent server side features distinguish it and allow for: (1) automatic tweet categorization to predict the impact of the tweet, i.e., if the tweet is going to be successful or not written as it is; (2) assisted tweet composition, suggesting possible ways to improve the tweet and expect a better impact.
