What is it about?
An overall look at sustainability in a broad sense, how computational tools and technologies can be used to foster sustainability, and what sustainability concerns arise with regard to the use of computing technologies themselves.

Why is it important?
Sustainability is an obvious primary concern in the present day. While there have been tremendous advances in the use of information technologies, there has not been a proper survey of the intersection of computation and sustainability.
Perspectives
Climate change and related concerns have the potential to do untold harm to humankind. This work is an early step that should be followed by many others, to study how advances in computing technologies can be applied to foster sustainability, and to mitigate the harm caused by such technologies themselves.
