What is it about?

The paper describes a model and an approach to sensing and analyzing the activities of the groups of people automatically, using sensors on their mobile phones and on the objects they use.

Why is it important?

A lot of work has been on individual activity recognition, recognizing the activities of an individual based on sensors s/he carries, but this paper is different, it shows how to model and recognize the activities of groups of people, and so, extends previous work and explores new possibilities.

Perspectives

This paper was with the first author who has done remarkable work on it, with interesting real-world case studies., some he was involved in himself with his contacts.
