What is it about?
By using just the spatiotemporal dynamics of the hands of a smartphone user while he or she types, we are able to predict what is being typed on the screen. Because we are able to do it in such a non-intrusive way (i.e., since the adversary does not have to direct the camera at the screen) that it does not raise any suspicion, we believe that it is very likely to be adopted by adversaries who seek to stealthily steal sensitive private information. The work calls for the tech community to take a closer look at the risks posed by the now ubiquitous camera-enabled devices.
