What is it about?
While many touch interfaces that we interact with are screen-based, there are many surfaces and objects where it doesn't make sense to add a full-on capacitive touchscreen to make them interactive. The Midas software tool enables prototyping non-screen capacitive touch interfaces with copper foil. Users can lay out their sensors using drag-and-drop, and then cut them on a sticker cutting machine from copper foil. After that, they just stick them onto the object and stick on our microcontroller; the system provides instructions and can help debug connection issues.
