What is it about?
Time-sensitive networking (TSN) has been rapidly developing in recent years and is poised to gradually replace existing Ethernet-based fieldbus systems in industrial automation. However, TSN is a collection of numerous standards, making it essential to have a comprehensive understanding of its application, integration, and deployment in this field. This paper provides a thorough review of TSN standards in industrial automation to facilitate a systematic understanding of its role and potential impact on the industry, as well as future research directions.
