What is it about?

RTG, which stands for "Rhythm, Time and Geometry", is a programming library in early development. The current prototype features are shown with a highlight on the mathematical concept of a "group" as a means to create exotic pattern combinations. It is part of a research project around the use of Programming Language theory techniques and geometric properties of musical rhythm.

Why is it important?

It shows a basic approach to pattern representation using linked lists. Contains first steps into using type theory and functional programming techniques to represent temporal geometric properties at different structural levels.

Perspectives

It presentes the scope of an exiting research project at the intersection of functionsl programming, type theory, musical rhythm and both classical and abstract geometry.
