What is it about?

Shareish uses modern software technologies to foster mutual aid and solidarity (also called generalized exchange, indirect reciprocity, or gift economy). With such a map-based platform, communities and grassroots movements can create autonomous spaces where everything is free (no real or virtual currency is used) and where everyone is free to request or offer any material, manual, intellectual, logistical aid, and act in solidarity on a regular or occasional basis.

Why is it important?

Shareish might contribute to help local groups to move from a market logic to alternative, human-centered, economies. It might also be useful in acute crisis situations (such as a flood, war, pandemic, storm, economic crisis or recession,...) where many people are vulnerable and where efficient organization of solidarity actions is essential.
