What is it about?
Visualization of sound field helps us understand how the sound wave propagates in a room. In this study, we proposed the Mixed Reality visualization of the sound field with the physical modeling of sound propagation. The room impulse responses of the sound field are modeled by the equivalent sources with the small number of measurements of the fixed microphones and the room geometry, which is acquired by simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM). Then, the estimated sound field from the sound field modeling is animated in the actual room using Microsoft HoloLens2.
