What is it about?
Checkpointing is a crucial method in distributed systems for ensuring data persistence. However, we have demonstrated that checkpointing may not always be the most effective solution in resource-constrained, transiently powered IoT networks.

Why is it important?
Our results reveal that before employing checkpointing techniques in transiently powered IoT networks, it is essential to determine the nature of the checkpointed data, whether local or network data. This is because checkpointing network data can sometimes adversely affect network performance.
