Research on Financial Performance Evaluation of Chinese Transportation Logistics Listed Companies

What is it about?

Financial performance is an essential means to measure the operational capability of an enterprise. We mainly research 77 listed transport logistics enterprises in China, select 6 representative financial indicators, and use DEA-BCC model to evaluate the financial performance of each transport logistics listed enterprise in 2019. Finally, provide realistic recommendations for strengthening enterprise performance management and encouraging the industry's high-quality development.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that: a)In China, the financial performance levels of listed transportation logistics companies are uneven, and there are differences in the performance levels of various listed companies. b) technical efficiency significantly impacts the overall efficiency of listed transportation logistics companies. c)The majority of the returns to scale for listed transportation logistics enterprises companies shows a decreasing trend. Thus, the overall financial performance level of China's transport logistics listed companies could be improved.
