What is it about?
The government of the Philippines is using digital technologies in an effort to make its operations more efficient and improve the delivery of services to citizens. Among these efforts is a move to adopt cloud technology for all government agencies. Cloud technology offers on-demand access to unlimited computing facilities and applications. Rather than investing to build its own data center, the government subscribes to a service on a monthly basis, similar to a utility like electricity. Benefits to the government include lower cost, , reduced energy consumption, improved productivity, and better security, among others.
