What is it about?
Attentional tunneling in augmented reality (AR) is when people focus too much on virtual content and ignore the real world around them. This study looked at how people's mobility, whether they were standing still or walking, affected their attention in AR tasks. The results showed that walking while engaged in AR tasks increased the tendency to ignore the real world. This study highlights the importance of considering how people move when designing AR applications and provides guidelines for evaluating them in different scenarios.
