What is it about?
Artificial intelligence and machine learning methods are to play an important role to realize the future intelligent networks. Existing approaches in this regard are focused on individual or local functional level. We have established the need and potential approaches for global Learning, deep holistic learning, cross Layer/domain learning and knowledge sharing for future networks.

Perspectives
This article has presented observations from my several years of experience in the telecom industry and academia. It is expected the article will help the researchers, network developers and academia to find new aspects of research for intelligent networks.
