What is it about?
Emotion Recognition Technology (ERT) are being use increasingly in the last decade. Understanding the social, ethical and political impacts that these technologies can have is essential. My research focuses on the impacts related to human relationships.

Why is it important?
Human relationships are at the center of our society. They enable us to communicate in certain ways and to understand each other better. ERT are in a position to enhance our understanding of others'emotions. However, this enhancement of people's emotions doesn't necessarily means that it will strengthen our relationships. We are used to communicate with others using the right dose of deception, honesty and mindfulness around others. 100% honesty could lead us to destroy most of our relationships.
Perspectives
