What is it about?
The drone maintains its flight status in real-time, and numerous computational processing for extra functions (e.g. communication, filming) are being processed on the mainboard. In general, drones have a fairly compact design because there is a trade-off between weight and battery. This design feature affects nearby batteries due to the high heat generated by the main board during the flight. When thermal damage is accumulated in the battery, the battery life is reduced, the cells connected in series have different lifespans, and the user will experience a sudden drone crash.

Why is it important?
Accurately knowing the state of the battery is a very important technology. This is because, if the state of the battery is not properly understood, mobility where batteries are the main energy source, such as electric vehicles, a fire may occur or drones may fall, leading to damage to property and human life.
Perspectives
As I am personally interested in UAM (Urban Air Mobility), it was a very interesting and valuable time while conducting work.
