What is it about?
We developed techniques using artificial intelligence (AI) to recognize buildings with phone camera. We taught the AI using Bing Maps streetside imagery. The AI uses the picture the phone camera takes and the phone's location to figure out what building the phone camera is looking at.

Why is it important?
People could use this to build an app that looks at a building and tells the user what building it is. The app could then bring more relevant information about the building based on which building it is.
