What is it about?

Librarians at the Colorado School of Mines have developed a micro-lessons collection to help STEM students develop research skills and habits. The collection is comprised of video tutorials, click through tutorials with opportunities for practice, and short lessons that can be embedded into courses across campus. The collection provides targeted support for students within courses and opportunities for individual skills development.

Why is it important?

It can be very difficult to find time in a busy STEM course to help students develop skills and knowledge beyond that course's content. However, incorporating micro-lessons and tutorial content at strategic points will help students develop necessary skills that will benefit their work in that course as well as others throughout their academic career.
