What is it about?
In college-level CS classes that force students to actively participate in their learning, students tend to feel like they're doing worse than they actually are because they're constantly identifying and experiencing the gaps in their knowledge. The authors found evidence to suggest that concrete steps can be taken to improve student acceptance and "buy in" of an active learning classroom while preserving many of the reasons given for implementing one in the first place.
