Going beyond wall screens for presenting election and opinion poll results by adding man-on-the-street interviews accessed via multi-touch anchor desks. Increasing audience engagement by enlivening opinion poll results with real people's thoughts and feelings about issues.

Why is it important?
The expressive power of surveys is greatly increased when one can find out the "why" behind the choice made on a closed-ended survey question. This is accomplished by tightly coupling closed- and open-ended questions in the survey and presenting the combined results.
Perspectives
The patent application for this work has been cited repeatedly in a series of Google patents. Parts of the system have been used around the world to enable people to voice their thoughts about health issues, so that organizations can better respond to people's needs, especially during emergency responses.
