What is it about?

The study of the path of subject's center of gravity during leg's ground contact in one and two-legged hopping. According to the theory, the path of the center of gravity is some kind of sine-form motion. In order to find out how hypotheses function in reality, experiments in jumps on one leg and two legs were performed and analysed.

Why is it important?

The most important in this study is that it shows how nervous system control jumping movement

Perspectives

After all, after many years of thinking this, the final conclusion is that sine-form swing motion is a product of learning process. Further development of this theory can be seen in the chapter 2.2 of the book "Constant Power Solution of Hill's Equation".
