What is it about?

Ecodesign is an important strategy to preserve the environment and at the same time provide financial gains for manufacturing companies. Our article shows how the furniture industry uses ecodesign to develop new products and processes environmentally correct and at the same time enhance revenues with new clients and to build a positive corporate image.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that an environmental strategy does not jeopardize revenues, but can even improve them if centered on ecodesign principles already stated in the literature.

I hope this article makes managers and practitioners in the furniture industry to develop strategies to implement ecodesign practices in their companies. We also hope managers and practitioners in other industries can benefit from ecodesign practices.
