What is it about?

The distribution of particulate guanylyl cyclases (GC) in human intestine was examined via enzymatic activity and mRNA expression in surgical samples from different areas of the intestine. In these samples we determined the cGMP production by these enzymes without and with stimulation by heat-stable enterotoxin or atrial natriuretic factor and the expression of GC-A and GC-C by reverse transcription PCR.
